Kristy has been a licenced Registered Nurse working within the healthcare industry for almost 20 years. During her career, she specialized in adult, neonatal and pediatric critical care/ICU. She was a nursing supervisor at two addiction treatment centres and collaborated with local police on a child abuse team working with families suffering from trauma, mental health and addiction issues. She later transitioned her career to specialize in palliative care and was employed as a RN at two local Hospice facilities and worked within the community on an afterhours palliative emergency response team and as a palliative case manager.
In 2021, Kristy took her two decades of nursing experience, passion for functional root-cause medicine, training as an integrative somatic trauma practitioner and sound therapist to open her private practice as a Certified Holistic Nurse Coach. Kristy further specialized her skills as a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Professional, a Lymphatic Drainage Therapist through the Chikly Institute of Health and most recently graduated with Honors & Distinction from the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada with a Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Therapy.
Kristy is excited to share the many healing benefits manual osteopathy can have on the nervous system and physical body. She loves witnessing her clients experience moments of much needed rest and calm, but to also have them report a felt sense of spaciousness and improved mobility and pain levels. She strives to provide a safe healing environment, informative patient education and relevant after care practices to foster resilience and personal agency along each clients unique healing journey.
