What is Animal Chiropractic Care?

With veterinary approval, we help your beloved pets heal naturally.

Animal Chiropractic Care involves the manipulation of the spine and other joints to improve mobility, reduce pain and improve overall health. This type of care is based on the belief that many health conditions in pets can be traced back to spinal issues. Correcting spinal restrictions can help improve your pet’s quality of life.

How can Animal Chiropractic Care help your pet?

Animal Chiropractic Care can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions in dogs and cats, such as:

Wellness Care: Just like people, pets can benefit from regular Chiropractic Care to maintain good health. Regular adjustments can help keep your pet’s spine mobile and reduce the risk of injury.

Injuries: If your pet has suffered an injury, Chiropractic Care can help. We can gently adjust their spine to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Neurological Deficits: Some pets may experience neurological deficits due to spinal issues. Chiropractic Care can help improve nerve function and reduce symptoms.

Dr. Brett Lypchuk utilizes his knowledge and experience to assess your pet’s condition and ensure their comfort and well-being with every treatment.

If you think your furry companion could benefit from Animal Chiropractic Care, we encourage you to contact us today to schedule your appointment.

How do I know if my cat or dog needs Chiropractic Care?

Animal Chiropractic Care can be beneficial for pets, just like humans. Since pets can’t directly tell you that they are in pain, it can be a bit more challenging to determine if they require Chiropractic Care. Look out for the following signs that could indicate your pet may need to see an Animal Chiropractor:

Changes in posture

This could be a sign of discomfort or pain. If your pet has a hunched back or is constantly shifting their weight from one side to the other, they might be experiencing pain.

Changes in behavior

If your pet is acting differently than usual, this could be a sign that something is wrong. For example, they might become more aggressive, more withdrawn, or start avoiding certain activities that they usually enjoy.

Difficulty getting up and down

If your pet is having trouble getting up or lying down, this could indicate joint or spinal issues.

Lameness

If you notice your pet dragging their foot or unable to flip their paw, this could be a sign of nerve impingement.

Limping or changes in gait

If your pet starts limping or walking differently, this could indicate that they are experiencing pain or discomfort.

Frequent yelping or signs of pain

If your pet frequently yelps or shows signs of pain when being touched in certain areas, this could indicate a problem.

Changes in eating or sleeping habits

Changes in these habits could be a sign that your pet is uncomfortable or in pain.

Trouble with routine movements or activities

If your pet has difficulty doing routine movements or activities like jumping, climbing stairs, or running, this could indicate an issue.
